Dear Business Users,

IDA, would like to invite you to attend the Pre-MIT HackMed@SG Workshop to be held on 1 July 2015. This is a run-up to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Hacking Medicine in Singapore (MIT HackMed@SG) event, which will be held on 25-26 July 2015.

MIT Hacking Medicine Institute, in collaboration with Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research & Technology (SMART), will be bringing the first-ever MIT Hacking Medicine (MIT HackMed@SG 2015) event to Singapore. The theme for the MIT HackMed@SG 2015 will be “Ageing-in-Place”, which coincides with one of the three priorities under the Smart Nation vision as highlighted by Prime Minister.

The Pre-MIT HackMed@SG workshop hopes to bring the business users together; to scope, identify and prioritise the real user problems/challenges faced in Singapore in relation to “Ageing-in-Place”. The identified problem statements would then be used for the actual MIT HackMed@SG for the participants (expected 150) from the healthcare, business, science/engineering, technology and design domains to design and propose possible solution ideas to the problems. Teams with winning ideas would have the opportunity to apply for suitable grants to build the ideas into real solutions and test their solutions in Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) with healthcare providers and citizens.

Our Pre-MIT HackMed@SG workshop will be held on 1 July 2015 (Wed) from (1pm-6pm) at Maple Business City (Pasir Panjang Road). The programme outline is shown below.
